Help Support Academic Military History

Posted by Daniel Sauerwein on November 1, 2007

I would like to appeal to all of you that either visit this site regularly, or have just stumbled upon us, to consider helping out a worthy endeavor by a noted academic military historian. Dr. Mark Grimsley, history professor at Ohio State, has created The Military History Foundation in an effort to raise awareness for academic military history. I reported on the foundation in an earlier post dealing with the future of the field. Well, I decided to check and see if anything new has come about and it looks like things are progressing, albeit slowly (click here to read updates about MHF on Dr. Grimsley’s blog). It seems that the biggest issue at this point is, you guessed it, securing funding. While I currently lack the funds to help out such a worthwhile project, I would like to appeal to all of you that read this site to consider helping the Foundation by either donating to the Foundation, purchasing items in their store, or offering assistance in other ways. I encourage everyone to contact the Foundation and express your support and offer to help.
